National Forum measures regarding Covid-19: It is our hope that the restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic will have eased or been lifted in time for the National Forum. However, we are prepared and equipped to run the conference in a manner that conforms to current restrictions, including the use of large lecture halls to allow for social distancing and the use of streaming services. If necessary, we will limit the number of on-site participants. We are also happy to accommodate digital participation. Updates will be provided continuously!

SWESSE (The Swedish Society for the Study of English) is a national, academic society of researchers and teachers of English at Swedish universities. With the goal of promoting Swedish research on English in the fields of linguistics, literature, and didactics, SWESSE serves to initiate and support national as well as international research activity. Essential to this achievement is a bi-annual conference, the National Forum for English Studies.

In 2021, the National Forum will take place at Södertörn University with the theme, "Rethinking English Studies".
