We welcome participation in the form of papers, panels, or workshops related to the Forum theme or to the general area of higher education studies in English linguistics, literature, culture, or language education.

  • Individual papers: 20-minute presentations followed by 10-minute discussions. Abstracts for papers should not exceed 250 words. Please also indicate paper title, author names, affiliations, email addresses, reference list, and 3-5 keywords (not included in the word limit).
  • Panels: 90-minute sessions consisting of 3-4 related papers. Abstracts for thematic panels should include the rationale and individual contribution abstracts, altogether not exceeding 1000 words. Please also indicate panel title, author names, affiliations, email addresses, reference list, and 3-5 keywords (not included in the word limit).
  • Workshops: 60-minute sessions of instruction, discussion, or active participation. Proposals for workshops should not exceed 250 words. Please also indicate workshop title, author names, affiliations, email addresses, reference list, and 3-5 keywords (not included in the word limit).

The deadline for abstract and proposal submission is 11 December 2020.

National Forum measures regarding Covid-19: It is our hope that the restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic will have eased or been lifted in time for the National Forum. However, we are prepared and equipped to run the conference in a manner that conforms to current restrictions, including the use of large lecture halls to allow for social distancing and the use of streaming services. If necessary, we will limit the number of on-site participants. Please indicate your preference for participating on site or by distance.
